JEFF KING - SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF
TECH OPS RELIABILITY AND EXECUTION
UNITED AIRLINES
Major General (Ret.) Jeffrey R. King is a senior executive with more than three decades of leadership in large-scale maintenance, logistics, supply chain management and enterprise modernization across both government and commercial aviation.
In November 2025, he joined United Airlines as Senior Vice President of Tech Ops Reliability and Execution, where he oversees Maintenance Operations, Engineering and Reliability, and Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and Facilities Maintenance.
At United, he helps lead a workforce of over 16,000 professionals who ensure a safe, compliant and reliable fleet of over 1,000 mainline aircraft operating more than 4,000 daily flights carrying 175 million people per year to more than 350 destinations across six continents. His portfolio also includes ensuring the reliable operation of 38,000 pieces of motorized and non-motorized GSE and 67,000 facilities totaling 20 million square feet of space.
Before joining United, Jeff spent 32 years in the United States Air Force, most recently serving as the Director of Logistics at the Pentagon, directing policy, readiness and workforce development for more than 201,000 logistics professionals and ensuring the operational availability of 4,000+ aircraft and associated vehicles and support equipment. Previously, as Commander of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex (the DoD’s largest MRO operation), he led 10,400 personnel, managed a multibillion-dollar portfolio, and delivered significant gains in efficiency, quality and safety. He joined the Air Force in 1993 after receiving his commission as a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force ROTC program at Loyola Marymount University. He has deployed in support of operations Southern Watch, Northern Watch and Iraqi/Enduring Freedom.
A distinguished people leader, Jeff holds advanced degrees in business, national security strategy, and operational art and science, along with executive education from leading institutions. He is widely recognized for transforming repair networks, countering supply chain risk, accelerating innovation, and driving cross-sector collaboration to improve readiness and performance.
Jeff and his wife have three adult sons. In his spare time, Jeff and his family enjoy scuba diving, camping and skiing. He is also an active supporter of veterans’ causes through his involvement with the American Legion and the American Legion Riders, where he volunteers in programs focused on veteran health, community support, and strengthening the network of care for those who have served and their loved ones.
