2026 Texas Cadet Competition Overview
Texas Wing Cadet Programs will host Cadet Competition in 17-19 April 2026 at Texas Wing Headquarters, in Nacogdoches, TX. The winner will progress to the Region Cadet Competition in July 2026.
We encourage all who are interested to get with your leadership and begin forming your team of 6 cadets and 2 Senior Member Mentors. Refer to CAP Cadet Competition web page for guidance on the program. (Please note that CAP no longer has a National Competition.)
The Cadet Competition focuses on sufficiently preparing cadets to showcase the full range of challenges in cadet life experienced at the squadron level, and new areas of learning that are important to America.
Areas of evaluation include: Leadership, Aerospace, Physical Fitness, and Character Development

Applications close 15 November 2025 for Activity Director, Chief Judge, and Director of Operations.
Applications close 17 November 2025 for all remaining positions.

Teams will apply via Teams form, coming soon. The lead SM Mentor will register the team, listing all members of the team. Next, Admin will send a Registration Zone link titled: "Texas Wing Cadet Competition 2026" for individual team members to register/pay, NLT: Date TBD. NOTE: payment is due upon registration.
Team Requirements:
2 Senior Member Coaches: current CPP, TLC preferred
6 Cadet Team members: Rank: C/Amn and above are eligible to fulfill team requirements

Staff and participating team members will register and pay in Registration Zone under "Texas Wing Cadet Competition 2026"
