Base Access Information:

Access to North Fort Hood requires the online base access form to be filled out. Please read the following important information before filling out the form.

  • EVERYONE that will be 18 and older at encampment and/or graduation needs to complete this as soon as possible, with one exception: if you have a DoD card that regularly gets you on military bases, you do NOT need to complete this. If you have any doubts, fill out the form.

  • Driver licenses MUST be in compliance with the REAL ID Act in order to access the installation. A current US passport can be entered on the form in the event the visitor does not have a REAL ID driver's license.

  • Legal permanent residents cannot use the online form. If you are a legal permanent resident, you have a chance of being authorized access ONLY if you go to the visitor center on main post WITH a military ID card holder who can serve as your escort, and even that does not guarantee your access. The Texas Wing Encampment staff CANNOT provide this escort service. The visitor center is approximately a 45-minute drive from the encampment location. If you choose to attempt to gain base access this way, please plan your travel time accordingly.

  • This link sends information straight to Fort Hood for their screening process. Civil Air Patrol will not be informed of who has completed this form, so please do not send us questions asking if you have been granted access.

  • By providing your phone number, the base is supposed to notify you of approval or denial.  You should get a text in a matter of approximately 5-15 minutes letting you know if you're approved.

  • Your approval is still dependent on you bringing your Driver's License/Passport to the gate upon arrival. If and when you are approved, you will just show your driver's license/passport when you arrive for graduation/pickup. (Drop-off will be OUTSIDE the base gates.) Don't forget your ID.

  • If you are denied access for any reason, Civil Air Patrol is NOT informed. This decision is out of our control and is final. You will need to coordinate with us so we can bring your cadet to you outside of the gate after graduation.

Over-The-Counter Medication Approval:

Please see the pinned document to the right of the screen (or at the bottom of the screen on cell phones) to enter permission for students to have over-the-counter medications. These will only be given with parental permission for things like headaches, stomachaches, etc. Parents will be informed if any medication is distributed. This document can also be found at the OTC Medication area of the Parent Portal website.
